External FW drive formatted on MAc won't show up on PC?

edited April 2004 in Hardware
I am trying to format for my PC but I don't even see it in the My Computer area. It was formatted for MAC, but shouldn't I have a choice to format it back to a PC system?

you need to right click my computer, click "manage" and go to "disk management" in order to see it. It won't show up in "my computer" unless it has a valid FAT/FAT32/NTFS filesystem.

    Hi Primesuspect,
    thanks for reply.
I see it in the drive area it is called:
    DMI0 IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device

But I don't know what to do to it to make it seen in My computer so I can format it?

Right click on the partition that it shows and select "delete partition" - then you can right click on the empty partition and format it.
