A brief article on the subject of Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer’s is always fatal and there is no cure, although drugs can reduce the symptoms in some patients for a while. It is the leading cause of dementia and affects 4.5 million Americans.

Even with meds, one of my relatives (a cousin) passed away in 7 years after getting Alzheimers. After 5 years, with aggressive meds, he could recognize not even his wife or children. He was 55 when he passed away. Took his wife years to recover, she finally remarried recently as hse knew he would have wanted her to get on with life. Finally the Alzheimers took his basic physical functions, shut them down. That is also one reason why I fold, other than having lost two relatives to cancer.

Fold guys, FOLD!!!! My mother was an Alzheimers therapist that was sent into their homes to determine if they need to be "under care" or if they can maintain themselves without major assistance. Her stories really make mes aware of the problems faced with Alzheimers.

    Gotta fix this... FOLD.

Might sound cold but everone dies. I would atleast want to known who I am and know who my friends and love one are. I would have to say once your mind goes there isn't any point in living.
