SMx UK #2!!!

Well thanks to Necro we have almost enough of a machine for another SMx-UK machine. All we need is a motherboard and a CPU. SMx 16 wants a little brother and there isnt much left for it to be completed.

If anyone would like to donate a spare, NOW is the time.

If we get a CPU and a motherboard we can get this computer rolling with host selection pretty soon.

    I've only just found this thread! What happened? Did SMx 16 get a little brother?
    I have a 1.3 duron lying around spare, Not too quick I know, but free to a good home.

    I can now upgrade my offer to an Athlon XP1700 Pally I believe. :) & an Abit KX7 Raid motherboard.

    I have various bits about if needed - I can also host/build... Would be nice to build the UK :ukflag: Rigs up a bit..

    Thanks for the offers guys. We have all the parts for the 2nd UK SMx machine (or we will do when I get my arse the computer shop and pick up the NFORCE 2 motherboard and chip my holiday got in the way. I think I am going to have to set up a UK SMx Parts stockpile like the guys in the US have. What do you think? Once we have enough parts I ship out a full machine.

    Ok, I am going to go out on a bit of a limb. Anyone who has parts to donate drop me a PM and I will send you my address. Lets see how many of these bloody things we can make :thumbsup: :ukflag:

    Col, I'll have to do a stocktake tonight to find out exactly what I have spare but so far its:

    XP 1700 (pally)
    Abit KX7 raid
    Athlon 1.3ghz Thunderbird
    256 Mb ddr ram (PC2100) but will overclock 2700 speed
    CD drive

    Hey Necro,

    Where are the 2nd & 3rd UK SMx machines???? :) Seriously though, do we have any movement on this as think we should do something about this in 2005.

    We talked a bit about this before. I have some stuff to donate if needed. (I just had a load of cases and cd roms given to me by someone trying to tidy up her house)
