Intel readies environmentally friendly microchips

Intel said on Wednesday it would start shipping chips with 95 percent less lead than its current products later this year in response to global demand for more environmentally friendly electronics goods.

    Did lead-free solder finally get good? If it's the same as it is last time I tried to use it, then we're going to be treated to a case study in why environmentalists shouldn't legislate metallurgy.
