Active clients
Windows 86%
Linux 8%
OSX 6%

Can anyone remember these stats a couple of years ago?
Seems like linux was only at 3% 2 years ago and late last year
it was 5% so it looks like more and more people are leaving
microsoft or maybe just more linux users decided to start folding.

    Maybe a combination of both.

Interesting. The numbers could also be affected by the people running diskless nodes or other farms under linux. One twenty-node farm would offset 220 Windows computers at those percentages.

I don't deny diskless stuff could be playing a role but now that I think about it wine does affect this percentage too so maybe people went back to a native client. could also be a combination between improvement in windows managers the speed of the newer kernels and some of negative propaganda deployed by microsoft. The more MS keeps linux in IT news the worst it's for their sales. One thing I find odd is microsoft is running linux on 50,000 servers of their own then I start to wonder which distro do they use.
