Read your removal guide, followed all steps. Still omegasearch as a browser. Here is my logfile.

    Welcome to Short-Media :)

    Since the removal guide was written, we have found some more information on variations from other sources that there are variants of the Omegasearch hijacker. Please try the following steps in addition to the ones in the guide:

    1 - start in safe mode

    2 - Set windows to show hidden files and folders

    3 - Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs(even folders)
    that show in the taskbar. Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items, then hit "Fix Selected "

    4 - Reboot into safe Mode and delete only these exact files
    Be very carefull if your unsure of what to delete leave them be.

    While in safe mode run your anti virus program and do a full system scan

    The files may vary a lot, so don't worry if you don't find them. Just make sure to start in safe mode, and make sure to create a clean system restore point aftewards. Post back to let us know what happened. We'll do our best to help you find a way...we have a serious hate-on for spyware / adware around here :)

    Seems we deleted omegasearch!!!!!!!!!!!! Many many thanks. 3 Reboots and no sign of omegasearch. To be sure a final Hijack logfile. Any suggestions how to never see omegasearch again?
