It seems that the omegasearch thing is a huge problem. Our new Security Forum has been seeing a ton of traffic from people searching for a way to get rid of this malicious software. Many people have been asking "What is OMEGASEARCH?" -- OmegaSearch is C2 Media's newest incarnation of their LOP.COM search hook browser hijack. C2 Media made a very malicious and difficult-to-remove piece of software called C2/LOP last year, and it looks like they are back in action with OmegaSearch. Today alone, we have been tracking new variants, and forum members Mondi and Dexter have been piling sandbags like crazy against the flood of "help-me-get-rid-of-this-thing" requests. Be sure to stop in and check out the latest cutting-edge information on how to rid yourself of this stinker.
