Some folks, after applying the security pack discussed as KB823894, have had browsers that are slow to connect to web servers but once connected are fairly fast. IT IS possible that some of the April cumulative patching might reapply this fix. So, if after you apply the patches for MS04-011, MS04-012, MS04-013, and MS04-014, please go back after rebooting your box and get a fix if you are offered one, that fixes that slowness. Let me see if I can ID the patch in my IE for you...

Yup, patch Q831167. Note, the KB searcher does NOT need the lead Q, just tell it 831167 if you happen to be an admin with support issues of this sort. Patch Q823894 was the LAST patch applied to IE here, and that happened DURING the cumulative updating for April. I had REMOVED that patch for just that reason earlier.
Figured a friendly FYI might be in order.
