Hello. I just received an old Athlon XP 1600+ with the basic stepping code of AGOIA0213Y. So far with my promie, I've reached 2.07 (9x230) Ghz with 1.9V with agressive ram timings (2-2-2-6). I'm just wondering what kind of overclocks people with 1600+ have and what your stepping is? Thanks. :)

Those agoia y´s reached around 2 gigs at best on air. Can´t remember i have seen it on a prommie before though. But i doubt more than 2.1 is tough.

I had a agoia y that reached 2 ghz on water, 1.8 on air.

    Terve!

Not like this is going to help you any, since my cooling and board are so different, but there it is:

    AGOIA 1600+
EPOX 8KHA+ (KT266a) (not volt modded)
Thermalright SLK-800 with Tt Smart Fan 2 @ 5100 rpm.
    Mushkin 2x256mb pc2700

Stable up to about 1700mhz, in pretty much any FSB, Multiplier combination. 1720mhz will boot into windows but most programs are unhappy.

Currently running at 12.5x133=1666 (2000+). Can't have my FSB out of whack, for fear of messing up RAID and SCSI controllers. Plus, my Radeon hates me.

At 1666mhz, I run at +.025 vcore, but I could probably get away without it. To get to 1700, I need to pump it up to +0.1.

Tried to overclock my friend's 1600 with resale hsf and terrible cooling, but only got to 1800+ speeds and even there it was unstable. This was a palomino btw.
