Universal Sound Driver?

I need a sound driver for the parents comp running win 98. Is there a sound driver that is generic/universal like how there is the "Standard Vga Display" for graphics driver? I dont know what sound card they have... Its sooo old. I know its some kind of Sound Blaster Live though. And installing drivers on 98 is a pain in the a** anyway.

    Take the card out. It should have a model number on the edges or something.
