.gg and .sfv ?

Recently downloaded a couple episodes to a show and theyre all .ogg files and theres one .sfv file. any idea of what i need to use these file typs?

    Ogg is a compression like MP3.

    Was this pure audio shows?? :)

    IIRC, sfv is for checking the integrity of the file.

    No they are supposed to be video files... spent about 4 days downloading...sigh such a waste of time... thanks for the info

    an ogg file will play fine in winamp, its a derivative of (i believe) ogm and i dont think that its anything you need to worry about. try right clicking on it and choosing play with media player or open with -> media player

    You should try it in the videolan client video player (lightweight, plays tons of formats, no directshow codecs needed). I never heard of .ogg being video, only .ogm. I would elaborate more on container formats and the data streams inside but I don't recall it too precisely.

    BTW, the sfv is just for making sure the other files there are exactly the same as the originals.
