Well, someone broke my laptop :banghead: It's a Dell Inspiron 7000 with a 15" XGA screen which now has its screen hinges broken. I can find the parts but I can't seem to find proper instructions as to how exactly to change the hinges. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks a bunch.

What part actually broke? Any screen shots? It should be pretty straightforward (2 interconnected pieces and a centre swivel part), unless you need to rewire (there must be a snap-connect type thing).

Hm, well, the metal where the screws are to attach the monitor to the rest has completely snapped on the left side and the screw hole is stripped. No wires have been clipped and the screen still works fine. The problem is there is no longer anything holding the screen in place other than the ribbon cable and a very loose hinge on the right side, which don't quite do the job.
