According to VR-Zone AMD CEO Hector Ruiz said that the Dual core products will arrive next year end and it could be either 90nm Egypt/Italy/Denmark or the generation after that. "AMD has right from the start designed the K8 architecture with Dual core capability."

AMD CEO Hector Ruiz : One of the most powerful things next year is going to be our dual-core product. To me, that's going to really shock the hell out of everyone, because it's going to be hardware-compatible, infrastructure-compatible, pin-compatible. I mean, people that have a 2-P system can slap in a dual-core product and end up with a 4-P system for the price of a 2-P.

Price of a 2P eh? Yeah, I'm sure the dual core processors will cost the same as the single core ones...

Yeah, that was my first thought too.. Now, if they release a dual-core Opeteron 1xx chip that's the same freaking price as a current single core, that WILL INDEED shock the hell out of me......

I can't wait! By that time I will have the money to buy the system of my dreams once again!!! Damn, I wander if there will be a version of windows capable of a 4-way setup, or if the dual core CPU's will just appear as single's???
