Also Hijacked, need help please

I've been hijacked by about:blank too and can't get rid of it, though I've tried several things. I've removed the BHO's and so forth, but of course it just rewrites itself and comes back.
Can anyone help, please? Here is my most recent HijackThis Log, and thanks in advance!

    Please read the following thread:

    http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12888

There is a fix in one of my posts there which has proven successful for others with this problem.

You will have to run that fix, as well as use HJT in SAFE MODE to fix the following:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\bfpkn.dll/sp.html (obfuscated)
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\bfpkn.dll/sp.html (obfuscated)

You may also want to look at this page regarding the file KxrWgd1.exe:

Remember to disable System Restore first, then set a new restore point if this clears everything up.

Post back to let us know if you have it fixed or not.

    Dexter,

Thank you! I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to reply, but I had finals. Argh. I followed the steps and believe the mess is gone now. What a nasty.

BTW, the link that was provided by Computer Cops in the post you'd quoted to The KillBox is a dead link. I didn't need it, as it turned out--there was nothing but 000's in the place specified in the regedit. Just thought you'd want to know that The KillBox can't be gotten from that link.

Thank you so much, Dexter. I am extremely grateful.
