Welcome to Short-Media :) We are happy to help.

Check the latest removal instructions here.

You also have some "My Web Search" and a couple of other crap files on your system. We'll clean those as well.

Boot up in SAFE MODE. Run HJT. Fix the following:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://omegasearch.com/passthrough/index.html?http://www.yahoo.com/

    O2 - BHO: MyWebSearch Search Assistant BHO - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\1.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL

    O2 - BHO: mwsBar BHO - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL

    O3 - Toolbar: My &Web Search - {07B18EA9-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [wcmdmgr] C:\WINDOWS\wt\updater\wcmdmgrl.exe -launch

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vgadelete] C:\PROGRA~1\GREAT3~1\Dupe Bin Link.exe

Next, you need to manually find and quarintine some of the files associated with the hijacks above. Make a new folder called Quarantine nad move these files into it:

    C:\WINDOWS\wt\updater\wcmdmgrl.exe
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

What I recommend is to make a sub folder in Quarintine for DLL files and one for EXE's. (You don't have any DLL's so skip that part.) Move the DLL's to the DLL folder, and the EXE's to the EXE folder. Then rename the last 3 letters of each file to .XXX. They are now quarintined, but if you fnd you need them for something legit after all, you can easily replace them by renaming them and replacing them in the folder they originially came from.

These ones you can completely delete the file and containing folder:

    C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\1.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL
    C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL
    C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\GREAT3~1\Dupe Bin Link.exe

The actual directory name for that last one will start with "GREAT3" something.

Ok, so do all that, then reboot normally, and check things out. Then run HJT again and post a new log here, and let us know how the system is working, whether it feels faster and if the hijacks are gone.

Please take the time as well to check out the links in my signature, and find out about Short-Media's Folding For a Cure team!

    Dexter...

    P.S. :

We don't normally e-mail people when their posts have been replied to, but you can subscribe to a thread when you post in it, check the menus below the text entry area when you are posting, and you will see a drop-down for Thread Subscription.
