    Welcome to Short-Media. :)

Wow, beside Omegasearch, you have a lot of other crap on your system.

Check the latest removal instructions here.

Boot up in SAFE MODE. Run HJT. Fix the following:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://omegasearch.com/searchbar.html

    (Omegasearch)

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://searchexe.com/searchbar.html

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = searchexe.com

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dellnet.com

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://searchexe.com/searchbar.html

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://riviera.cc (obfuscated)

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://searchexe.com/searchbar.html

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://searchexe.com/searchbar.html

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://searchexe.com/searchbar.html

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://www.locators.com/search.php?que=%s

(These are all other hijackers and search hooks, competing for control of your browser)

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = http://riviera.cc (obfuscated)

    (A damaged homepage link.)

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =

    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\System32\Userinit.exe

(This could be pone of several things, from viruses to adware/spyware. It is not a legit program for XP. Kill it.)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DM_Server] C:\PROGRA~1\COMETS~1\DM\bin\dmserver.exe /onreboot

(Comet cursors, known adware. May look cute, but is spying on you and tying up system resources.)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sys] regedit -s sysdllwm.reg

(This is bad. The command "regedit -s" is a command to silently add something to your system registry when you reboot. The "sysdllwm.reg" is the registry entry it is silently adding. I do not know what process this is associated with, but I can assure you that it is not doing anything good on your computer. This entry needs to go, and you need to search for the "sysdllwm.reg" file and delete it. It is most likely in your Windows or Windows/System32 directory.)

(All various unnecessary downloaded program files. Delete them to free up some room and clean up your log.)

Next, you need to manually find and quarintine some of the files associated with the hijacks above. Make a new folder called Quarantine nad move these files into it:

    C:\WINDOWS\gsim.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswshx.dll
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8F4E5661-F99E-4B3E-8D85-0EA71C0748E4} - C:\WINDOWS\wsem217.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\wt\updater\wcmdmgrl.exe
    c:\windows\winlogon.exe

What I recommend is to make a sub folder in Quarintine for DLL files and one for EXE's. Move the DLL's to the DLL folder, and the EXE's to the EXE folder. Then rename the last 3 letters of each file to .XXX. They are now quarintined, but if you fnd you need them for something legit after all, you can easily replace them by renaming them and replacing them in the folder they originially came from.

These ones you can completely delete the file and containing folder:

    C:\PROGRAM FILES\CLOCKC~1\film dvd.dll
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\PROCDU~1\Barb Thunk Grey.exe

The actual directory names will start with "CLOCKC" something and "PROCDU" something.

Ok, so do all that, then reboot normally, and check things out. Then run HJT again and post a new log here, and let us know how the system is working, whether it feels faster and if the hijacks are gone.

Please take the time as well to check out the links in my signature, and find out about Short-Media's Folding For a Cure team!
