gps systems?

Im thinking of getting a gps unit for my laptop I was looking at the Earthmate GPS Receiver, has anyone heard anything about it? I was trying to spend not a whole lot of money either? I was just curious how accurate it is. Thanks guys for any input.

    my dad just got the new pioneer gps/dvdplayer/cdplayer for his car accurate within 3 ft but its 1500 bucks
