mobo is dead
my brother sys:
pentum 4 1600mhz
intel D845HV mobo
geforce 2 mxmx 400
samsung 133mhz 256mb
i tryed to update the BIOS using: intel express bios update utility.
and now its not booting at all, its just beeping 3 tims...
in the BIOS Beep Codes (in the Product Guide)
3 beeps = First 64 K memory failure
all i know is that, my brother is goin to kill me

this is from the Product Guide:
1. Turn off the computer, disconnect the computer’s power cord, and disconnect all external
peripherals.
2. Remove the computer cover and locate the configuration jumper block (J9G1) (see Figure 17).
3. Remove the jumper from all pins as shown below to set recovery mode for Setup.
4. Insert the bootable BIOS update diskette into diskette drive A.
5. Replace the computer cover, connect the power cord, turn on the computer, and allow it to
boot. The recovery process will take a few minutes.
ok, i tryed it but my floppy is dead. only the cdrom is working.
the floppy drive is ok,
the mobo cant boot from floppy, but from the cdrom.
(only the cdrom is respond to the booting)

If the floppy is physically working but you can't access it due to the boot order, try unplugging the computer and resetting the cmos by either pulling the battery or using the reset jumper. That should restore the default boot order in the bios isn't totally fubar.
Hope this helps you out because if it doesn't, your only hope then is to hot flash it with a running, identical board or get a replacment bios chip from badflash.
allso i tryed to take off the baterry, i hoped it wood clear the cmos, and make the floppy as first boot device

i think i did it, the cmos is clear, and the flopy is start to role the discket,
can any one know how to create a bootable disck?
as i dont have buckup to bios.
You'll want the WIN98SE boot disk. Also...if you pull the CMOS battery you should leave it for 24 hours to fully clear the CMOS (if that's possible). Perhaps re-flashing the BIOS may solve your problems. Hopefully.
