i have a sony minidv camcorder and i uploaded it to the computer but the quality came out as crap after i ran it through dr.divx. thats pretty much the only program that i know to use though. could i just leave the video the way it is?

That's because Dr.DiVX is crap. Heh.

Manual control of the encode process and a knowledge of bitrates helps output quality immensely. If you can tell me your starting format (What you pulled off of the MiniDV), I can help you convert it.

Quicktime Pro is good program if you ask me, but I can't say much until I know more information :D Like what kind of file is it now? What exactly are you looking to do, and stuff like that. Wanting to stream?
