P4P800-e won't detect dvd

Just got my new motherboard (P4P800-e deluxe) and it won't detect my DVD reader. I just reinstalled XP home edition and still nothing.

I have it setup exactly how it was before with my CD-writer and DVD on the same IDE cable on the secondary IDE port.

I'm going to double check everything and keep ya'll posted.

    it power up and eject the try any every thing?
    it must be somthing simple, also the ide cable might be backwards :)

    Ya it ejects and all, I'm going to double check the power connection and IDE cable once I get home from work

    One thing you might try is to set both drives to cable select and see if the board reads them both then.
