Problem with IC13

I noticed last night when I was going to bed that the power led was flashing on IC13. I turned the monitor on, and it was froze, mouse, keyboard nothing worked. So I rebooted, everything started up just fine. I wake up this morning to the same flashing led. I turn it on and the computer was on for 12 minutes according to my LAN connection before it was froze again. I rebooted and got a svchost error of some sort.

I am at work now, there was nothing I could do this morning because of work and all. As soon as I get home, I am going to look more into it, might try switching out some memory or try a fresh install of win2k.

I just wanted to let you guys know about the situation. I will get on it as soon as I get home and have it up tonight stable.

You might want to run a hard drive diagnostic program and see if the hard drive is trying to pack it in, Clutch. That hard drive is pretty old and might be trying to die.

Another good reason to use EM3 to monitor rigs that arent used every day.

Let us know what you find out.

I monitor it everyday, it has it's own monitor hooked up to it and all. I just don't leave the monitor on at night because of the power issue.

    UPDATE:

I got home and took the cover off to make sure the heatsink fan was still working and everything was seated correctly. I booted up and it has been running for about an hour or so stable. I'm leaning to heat being an issue. I am going to let it run all night with the cover off then try with cover on tommorow. I just hope all stays stable while I'm at the lan this weekend.
