Nordic Hardware have their Radeon X800 vs. GeForce 6800 article up.

Four weeks have passed since nVidia launched its GeForce 6800 Ultra. We spent one of those weeks, together with colleagues from all over the world, in Toronto with ATi. What ATi had to show us was . of course, the graphics card that has surfaced under the codename R420. The 14th of April was marked by us as the day nVidia put an end to ATi's trend as ruler of the throne, but today it's time for ATi to try to retake it. In the following pages we will show you if they've succeeded or not.

After reading some reviews, Nvidias stuff is better under OpenGL, and it sees less of a performance drop when the settings are cranked major (4x AA 1600x1200 etc). In many cases though, the NVidia card had to be run at one resolution lower to compete with the ATI. We'll have to see what the first retail drivers do.

Looks like a very close race with a slight edge given to the ATI. Hopefully we can get a good price war going now.

The Nordic hardware tests were a bunch of BS.Look around for some reputable site like tomshardware, Hardocp, or Guru3d.They give you the REAL lowdown on both cards.
