Odd network problem, goes one way only

The problem is that I can copy any file I want from the ICS server to my computer but can't copy anything at all from my computer to the ICS server. ICS is Internet Connection Sharing for those that don't know and it's how I network my computers without a router. Nothing at all has been changed in the past few months about how either harddrive is shared so that couldn't be a problem. The only thing that has changed is that I installed the newest nForce drivers on both of my computers, they seem to work fine except for this newly created issue that is annoying the **** out of me. The ICS server still has microsoft IDE drivers so it isn't a problem caused by the Nvidia SW IDE drivers that are buggy at times. Anyone have a clue what could be causing this? Are the newest nForce drivers for nForce 1 also? I installed them on one nForce 2 board and one nForce 1 board.

The exact symptoms are this: copying from ICS to me goes perfectly, copy from me to ICS and it will sometimes copy and the file will appear with the right size but (using mp3 as an example) will not play. Only the first 30 seconds or so play then the rest of the file isn't there. Then sometimes it won't copy at all and my (or both) computers will freeze for a little bit. One time I thought the transfer was going to work because a 3 minutes left dialog (for a 5300Kb file) popped up but then I moved the dialog and both the computers froze. The freezing is just no programs opening and the start bar not working but after a minute they go back to normal. It doesn't matter which computer initiates the transfer either. All of my problems are usually un-solvable so I'm not expecting much but maybe I'll get lucky.

joys of ICS.. are you using MS ics or a third party ICS.

Id ditch ICS and just create a nice routing table to do the network traffic out. the pc to pc stuff is pretty simple...

MS ICS, how would I create a routing table using XP Pro?

If i went that way is it easy to allow all network traffic out so I could host games? I'm not worried about security I just want functioning internet.
