You need to get a TV tuner card. They run between $50-100. I'm using an ATi All in Wonder which has a builtin video tuner.

how much did that cost? where can you find them? What model is yours? does it work good?

The ATI AIW cards are good. They even have a DVR function built into the software now.

Are you a gamer? If so, I recommend either:
    A. Spending a bunch of money on a 9800 AIW
    B. Buying a seperate ATI TV-tuner

Option B allows you to upgrade your video card when you need to, without losing TV-tuner capabilities.

If you're not a gamer, you can buy a lower model All-In-Wonder card and kill two birds with one stone.

ok, i like the price on this one. If i buy this and install it on my computer i'll be able to watch tv and play video games if the hook-ups are there, am i correct? Would i have to get any software or does it some with the card?

It would come with the software and you just plug your cable into the back of the card. If you have a cable modem then you'll have to buy a cable splitter.

You should be able to record shows too. :)

No, if you had cable modem for internet, you'd need the cable splitter to get both TV and internet signals to your PC. If you don't, all you have to do is plug your cable in to the tuner card (and install the software).

the pvr-250 retail are about $150, but i think it you look around maybe oem $100 i think ive seen them about that much. If your gonna get some pvr software I know snapstream does a bundle with the card and the sofware for a good price. But that card is awesome. Also the card does all the work on the card so you dont have to worry at all about it taking alot of cpu usuage. I copy in extra long format mpeg-2 and they look great.
