If anyone has any ideas whats wrong here... Id appreciate some input :)

Exhange 2K server. Inbound SMTP email comes in via a SMTP store and forward rather than directly to this SMTP server.

A finger command is issued on our side.. to initiate the incoming SMTP stream from my email host. This method of queuing is used, incase our net connection drops out at all. Useful but here's a problem.

Have moved buildings with a new DSL connection waiting to be piped in, so using dialup to retrieve. Finger command is issued, connection is established to the remote host but no SMTP starts :banghead:

I rang the forwarding host who tell me there is 1045 messages totalling 66mb in the queue, waiting for to us to collect... and that they have no issues on their end. Ive got a trusted friend to initate an SMTP session to our server and he can send an email no problem.

So whats going on?? :rant::(

Five days at this and I really have run of ideas..
