Home Search?

Hello,

I've been working for about 4 hours in an effort to rid my computer of hijack that keeps setting my start page to something called "Home Search." I've downloaded your program and found about 6 items that I can absolutely identify as being part of the problem and I use HijackThis to remove them. The problem is that every time I restart my computer, they come back. I must be missing something, but I can't find it. Please take a look at my log and help me fix this. Thanks!

Have you also run Adaware and/or Spybot S&D? Both programs are very good (Spybot is a lot better now in the new version 1.3). Also make sure you get the latest update files when you run each program.
If you run both of those and clean up what they find, then run Hijack This, you might get rid of that program reloading every time you reboot. I usually consider HJT a last resort if the other two programs miss anything.

    Also, welcome to Short-Media!

If you want, you can post a hijackthis log again, and we'll see if anything else is left behind.

Hey, thanks, I'd appreciate that. In particular, I'd like to know if you think it's safe for me to delete those BHO's that are listed. I read an article somewhere else on this site that said most BHO's can be deleted and I don't think I have them there intentionally. Anyway, here's the new report:
