AMD have now posted a newer revision of the CPU Driver used with Windows XP after pulling their earlier May 04 offering.
AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor Driver for Windows XP, Version (exe) 1.1.0.14 - Download this Setup Installation program (EXE) to automatically update all the files necessary for installation. This package is recommended for users whom desire a graphical user interface for installation. This .EXE driver is a user friendly localized software installation of the driver designed for end-users.

    It's like a chipset driver for your CPU. Increases performance with the system, fixes flaws in the way the OS handles the CPU, etcetera.

    And it works just fine with the 32 bit version of xp pro?

    Yeah it's a driver for AMD's Athlon 64 CPU's under Windows XP (32-Bit).
