Router is cutting bandwith in exactly half.
I'm currently using a SpeedStream SS2604 to connect 2 PC's (soon to be 3) and my Xbox. When I'm using the router speed tests come up as 1500 kbps (give or take a bit) when I'm supposed to get 3000 kbps. When I bypass the router (modem right into my pc) the speedtests show 3 megs give or take. This happened in the past but I always downloaded at my true speed. This is no longer the case. With my router plugged in I would max out at 160kbps via IRC. Once the router is out of the picture I download at 330kbps, from the same server, same file.
Would there be some type of option that limits the throughput? I'll check out the modem's setup tomorrow, I'm having trouble seeing straight at this point. If any of you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks-DaK
