Hello all, this weekend I'm going to be doing a format/xp install. Now I've read it's better to install certain drivers and do windows update at a certain point. I was wondering if any one could give me a list to follow. I've read through some threads on different forums and came up with some conflicting info.

Here's the hardware

nf7s 2.0
AMD M2500
9500pro
audify 1 gamer
1gig mushkin blklvl pc3500 mem
2x wd raptors in raid 0 16/16k
1 liteon dvd burner
1 liteon dvd player
some other stuff :)

let me know which drivers you guys recomend I install first and when to do win update. The most important thing for me is hardrive performance

    I do:

    Windows install
    Windows updates
    Chipset drivers
    Video drivers
    Other drivers

EDIT: Also try and install the newest versions of each driver the first time, rather than installing an old version from a CD, and putting the new version overtop.
