SpyBot 1.3 Problem/Question

I use excite.com email as a junk maill folder. You know, so my home email account isn't constantly inundated with crap.

The other day I downloaded & loaded SB 1.3 onto my work computer.

Now I cannot log into my excite.com email account. I've tried everything I know of. Changed all the security setting in IE6 to "enable" or "prompt" still no dice.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

If that doesn't work then if you have ME or XP you can restore to a earlier date before Spybot made any changes. Have you set IE back to defaults?

In reply to the blocked excite site. In Spybot S&D 1.3, You have to click on (advanced) in your program list, open spybot S&D, and click on Tools. Then click on "Hosts File" and see if the host files are loaded. If they are, you can either remove them or look for excite in the list. I have uninstalled the Hosts list to gain access to a site and then reinstalled it for protection away from the site. Also if teatimer is activated, it may block spyware from excite that is trying to track your usage. This sometimes keeps a page from loading as well. to deactivate teatimer, right click on its icon in your tasktray at the bottom of your windows screen and uncheck "use resident in IE sessions". I hope this helps you with your problem. Peace!
