64bit cpu's getting cheaper
crap I already have a dual opteron and a 3200+ Athlon 64 to go with the k7d dual 2100+.
I was looking for a reasonable upgrade for Robins computer (she still plays on a old k7 with 1700 XP) without having to get another athlon 64. crap I just bought a opteron 142. So it can't be used in a dual opteron but it was 80 bucks on ebay for Petes sake. The single socket 940 Asus sk8n nforce3 MB goes off for 70 bucks or less all the time. I have seen it pop for less then 50 bucks. Is 64bit computing really getting this cheap? The MB and chip is gonna run like $150 total ? This is nuts.

I have an Athlon64 3000+ Desktop(2GHz), and now I am getting a Athlon 64 Mobility 3000+ Laptop within the month(1.8GHz). Then when I graduate college I am supposed to get money for a Dual Opteron setup, which may just be a Dual Core system, either way, I am transitioning very well IMHO.
