DNA Drivers 1.4.3.5HFSU for ATI cards

These new drivers are modded ATI Catalyst 3.5 drivers from a nice guy over at RAGE3D forums. The drivers are supposed to have some performance gains, at least in 3DMARK and some texture problems in BF1942 have apparently been resolved in this latest revision.

To give them a try, use the links below:

Downloading them now. I'll let you all know soon.

I haven't upgraded drivers in awhile, but for the chance to finally fix my texture issues in Battlefield, heck yeah :)

    Yeah, let's hope.

Haven't tried Battlefield yet. SWG (I'm not an addict! REALLY!) seems the same, maybe a tad slower, hard to say. I'll try Battlefield and 3dmark01 today.

I was thinking that myself

Has there been a problem with ATI cards overheating with drivers. This 9800 is the first ATI card I have bought.

Well, I'll be uninstalling these drivers!

If by saying "the BF1942 dissappearing texture problems have been solved" they mean "now, instead of running with disappearing textures, we kindly make the game crash for you on the first instance that a texture disappears," then we've got a winner.

My 3dmark01 points also dropped 400. Before and After. (not the best comparison, the only "before" score I could find was with a different OS, since the only other time I ran 3dmark01 with this card and WinXP, the ORB wasn't working)

I'll try out the new Catalyst 3.6's.

Oh well, you can't blame the guy for trying.
