avi, gif and flash... desperate help needed

I'm throwing together these video cd's for my oldest's graduation (8th grade).

I was on VERY limited time for the first part (presentation projected onto a screen) so my editing consisted of the pause button on the vcr coupled with several different formats streamed from the pc but now it has to be cleaned up.

Here's the question...

Is it in any way possibly to somehow embed or overlay flash animations over an avi?

Is it possible to embed or overlay a gif into an avi?

I did this morphing thing from when they were 1st graders into their 8th grade pictures saved as an avi file. I want to toss some simple flash (or fake flash - swish, anim-fx, etc) names into it along with a small animated gif.

I can find/buy any programs neccessary if need be.

Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you.

Fold on.

Look at the video capture and edit utils made by a company called Dazzle. IF you can recapture video from VCR, easiest way is to lay titles over it with a video frame modifier, resave videos. AVI's or MPEGs are normally a final product, though some quite expensive software can break them up.

IF you want Anigif's in an AVI as a layer, might ask mediaman, he's good at media. BUT, if you can feed to VCR and record AVI as a file on VCR (not saved that way on VCR, and the result is able to be frame editted), recapture, that is fastest and least expensive, probably.

A great quick/easy video editing app is WinProducer. I used it to edit a movie I made for school and won the "best edited" award with it.
