how to use x-bios editor....

My gefroce fx 5200 chaintech has stock settings 250/400
i wanna clock it a bit more...but the values dont seem to stick..
can any1 plzz help me with this...wil be really greatful...

    Third message down at link below sums this up. BE careful, the x-bios editor makes a BIOS file for your CARD, if you load it and card cannot handle it, card could die or be useles until it is reflashed back. Try powerstrip to test.... Go slow and gentle with changes.

    how to u make the settings to stick in the x-bios editor......
    my stock settings are 250/400
    i change them but nothing happens why...:(
