64-bit Drivers Compared : New Releases From ATI and Nvidia

The good people over at GamePC have put up an article looking at Nvidia's and ATI's 64-Bit driver offerings.
We've watched the progression of the core XP 64-bit operating system, and we know that the OS itself is getting close to release quality. Unfortunately, even if the core OS is stable and running well, the vital components which are still missing are drivers. As many of you know, in order to run your system's hardware in a 64-bit operating system environment, 64-bit drivers must be used to connect with the core OS components properly. Your typical 32-bit drivers, which we've been using for the last five years now, will simply not work under Windows XP 64-bit Edition. Thus, in order for your system's hardware to work, you'll need to download and install fresh 64-bit driver variants . While Microsoft is doing its best to load the OS with 64-bit ready drivers from its partners, it's still up to the third party hardware manufacturers to get their drivers up to date before the OS ships to market.
