Mozilla.org folks have told eWeek that Mozilla is slated for release later this month. Given how well 1.7rc2 works here, I am not surprised at the immediacy of that schedule. Mozilla has a lot of Beta testers and a very solid autoreporter that is an option many choose to use for malfunction report inputting-- folks do NOT have to install it if not wanted.

AOL has confirmed to many IT media folks that this summer it will release Netscape 7.2. I would expect a Netscape based on Mozilla 1.7 given the time frame sequence and how tightly Netscape and Mozilla traditionally are tied. Expect both in versions for multiple O\Ss and expect Netscape to have a Windows version first and gradually add other O\Ss. Mozilla typically does a three-platform release, then others are offered based on crontributed work. Expect Sun Java 2 support structure in both.
