Well look, i started doing some OC'ing agiain alittle while ago. but ever since. Games minimize onto the taskbar, then i have to reclick them, then they go back, then after alittle while they minimize again, sometimes its like a clicking game...

anyone know why the hell this is happeneing? its REALLY getting on my nerves

PS my vid card is a Ti4200, dont think you need much more info then that.

that's strange ... have you tried declocking again to see if that could've been causing it?

no, but how could it be the clock frequency or the ram speed? it just doesnt add up... maybe i should try it.

man, its so annoying, maybe its cause i activated coolbits and all these other options.

well, when i got to an unstable speed, windows worked fine, but BFV would lock up the computer entirely. maybe it's behaving weird for you...but declock it, and if that doesn't fix it, make sure your video isn't getting too hot / too overclocked

Just get an ATi card. ;D

Umm... I had some problems running two FAH consoles that it would minize the game when I opened it, but then I just got the game back up and it was fine. I dunno, it was a while ago, and I forget what I did to stop it, but now it kinda slows down gameplay in really intensive stuff, like NFSU, but WC3 plays fine. Try stopping FAH while you play, or lower it's processor usage/priority some if you can.

EDIT: You are folding, I am assuming?

of course i am folding!!!! cant you see the little icon on the top right center of my posts?

well, im gonna try that foling thing...

this tells you exactly what the problem is.

Jengo, are you running the graphical version or the console version of FAH? I've heard stories of the graphical versions causing games to minimize when entering directx mode. Try experimenting and exiting whatever FAH client you have to see if the game minimizes with and without the client running when you start up the game.

    actually i did:

    here's a summary:

post 1) you post a thread with minimal info, only that you recently started oc'ing, and that since then you've had problems

post 2) entropy gives the same suggestion as me

post 3) you say "maybe I should try it"

    post 4-13) assorted ati>nvidia or nvidia>ati banter

(note that you never said that you actually tried to fix the problem by lowering clock or post that lowering clocks helped/didn't help)

post 14) I point out, with all the information that you gave, the most likely source of the issue

    post 15) kingfish suggests sth.

post 16) you flame me (and misspell my name)

post 17) you lost the "edit" button

post 18) you give me another jab.

    suck it.

look man, i think you are getting alittle worked up over something that isnt worth getting angry about. i never flamed you. i simply stated that you didnt read the whole thread.

Minimal information? how much more did you want?

look man, just relax. you are getting all worked up over something that isnt worth it.

I am sorry about my spelling errors i was in a hurry. good grief....

lets not start a War on SM. i know that both you and I are better then that.

    Side note:

I have the same problem sometimes, but they're spybots, not graphical probs. If the problem is still there, check for those. Hope you can fix it.

dude. you post here for free tech support. Anyone who helps gets little in return, other than the feeling that they helped someone. You could at least take the time to

    • Spell the title correctly, and don't use CAPS!!!!!!!
    • Spell people's names who try to help you correctly
    • Listing system specs is always nice, for all we know, you oc'ed your 800 duron to 1.5 with a 150W dell supply
    • tell us whether a given solution worked, so no one suggests the same thinking that you missed/ignored the advice
    < / anal conversation organization >

As far as I'm concerned, you gave about as much helpful information in your post as one of the omegasearch posters who shows up and just posts a log, not telling what the problem is.

whatever man, i dont come to SM to make enemies, i come to have alittle fun, help people out/get helped, and just be part of a community.

if you wanna make a big fuss over something that small then do it alone. Im not here to flame people/get flamed.

I am also not at school. i am at a forum on a webpage. i dont have to have perfect grammar unless i was posting some type of article. im sorry that i spelled your name incorrectly. big deal. people do it all the time. its nothing to cry about. but look. someone is.

I am also sorry i didnt post my problem exactly as you wanted. god.

you know what? forget it. go cry about this alone. im done. this is stupid. i was gonna say alot more. but its not worth my time.

Im definately with the rest of the ati fans when they say get an ati card....

I was an Nvidia fanboy once too. But then I saw the true beauty of a Radeon 9700Pro and am now completely liberated ;)

But as far as your problem. That doesnt sound like an issue from OCing, It sounds like you have an app running on your desktop that uses mouse activation. I have the same EXACT problem when I use mouse activation in Object Dock.

Do you have anything running like that?

//EDIT: NM u fixed it already I guess. I dint read teh whole thread.
