Office 2003 Outlook question?

edited May 2004 in Science & Tech
Ok here is the deal I use outlook ALL THE TIME. And I don’t want it to be closed. What I want is for it to be in the task bar always running so when I get new e-mail it notifies me and when my scheduled appointments come up it warns me and so on. Does anyone know how to do this? I've been looking and I'm stumped. :banghead: :banghead:

    Open OUTLOOK.

    TOOLS>OPTIONS

MAIL SETUP tab. Choose SEND/RECEIVE button.

Checkmark in the box for SCHEDULE AN AUTOMATIC SEND/RECEIVE EVERY.. and set your time from 1 minute up. This would be for a constant on conection such as DSL or ADSL.

You can do the same when it is OFFLINE...but I beleive that is for a dial up setting to automatically fire up a dial-up modem..check for email...then shut down.

    That should do it. :)
