What was Sega's big E3 Suprise?

FormFactorFormFactor At the core of forgotten

I think I remember a bunch of email and news buzz that Sega was going to unveil some revolutionary new product at E3. Even message board speculation of a new console.

I watched and read a lot of E3 coverage but not 1 word of Sega.

Anyone know what that was all about?

Sounds like a lot of the media went away disappointed. Sega had built-up quite a bit of excitement around this announcement and then laid an "egg" from a couple of the news stories I read.

Most of the speculation before the announcement was that they were getting back into the console business.

it wouldn't make sense for them to make a console anymore. I think nintendo should drop the console too. they lose crazy money making consoles, all of them. they only stay in because of pride.

That and because if nobody made consoles, there would be nothing to play the games on.

nah, there will always be at least two console manufacturers. competition can't be stopped.
