Hi all,

Please could you give me some assistance with removing that pesky omegasearch. :rarr:

    OK, first, I recommend that you download, install and run both Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3 and Ad Aware 6 and run both of them and let them remove what they can handle, then post a new HJT log. That will remove some of the many assorted crapware items in your present HJT log. After they have done their job, then we can start on the more pesky problems you have. :)

    Generally if they come from a random IP address, it's not good to have it on the HJT list. 9/10 times, it's a spyware of sorts. XXX is a sure fire entry to delete. MyWebSearch and randomly named DLL files are generally bad too.

    What I've done is listed all the ones I would get rid of myself on my own machine. If any of these entries is something you know you use on a regular basis, don't delete it, otherwise check all of these and make it so number 1. :)

    Remove the ones Thrax indicated, but first boot up in SAFE MODE.

    Try that, reboot then reboot normaly, and if it is still there, post a fresh log.
