VR-Zone has posted two X800 Mod articles. The First show you how to turn your 12 pipe X800 Pro into a 16 pipe X800 XT. The Second deals with Voltage mods.

Source: VR-ZoneThis should be the best mod of all this season, that is, to turn an X800 Pro into an XT Platinum by enabling the remaining 4 pipelines (one quad block). So far a few guys have managed to mod it successfully but many still don't. However, there should be a reason for ATi to lock down one of the quad and it could be due to a faulty pipeline present in the quad block so try it at your own risk.
Core voltage:
Connect a 10K ohms variable resistor to R1597 as shown, one wire to each end.
ATI will showcase its first 0.11-micron graphics chip, the Radeon X300 (RV370) and Radeon X600 (RV380) on June 3 at Computex Taipei including the Radeon X800. The Radeon X300 chips aim at the entry-level card market with prices below US$100. ATi is expected to complete tape-out of its next-generation VGA chips, using a 90nm process, in the second half of this year, with volume production scheduled to start in early 2005.

any word on how well the x300/600 performs as opposed to a 9800pro/xt?
The SE version only has 8 of teh 16 pipelines enabled and I would like to enable atleast another four.
