Microsoft working hard on XP SP2 RC2

It has been reported that Microsoft is burning the midnight oil in an attempt to make sure SP2's development timetable doesn't get stretched too much further. Currently the software giant is a little behind, with their own internal date for RC2's completion already missed, which isn't that great considering only a few months ago most of us were expecting to see the final version of SP2 hitting the web right about now. Neowin has more information.
We're hoping to see RC2 get compiled this week with a release on or after the 7th June, if RC2 gets compiled early this week then beta testers may well see the long awaited update at the end of the week. Either way there's a lot of testing to be done to ensure that any problems with RC2 are reported and that all is well for the release to manufacturing (RTM) in mid-July.

    I wonder how SP2 is going to be? I have a copy of Pro lying around upstairs I wouldn't mind tossing on if I saw some benefits.
