Hello! *waves* Sorry I didn't take the time to introduce myself properly =D I'm Diane.. new here :) Yeah, I was wondering if you could help me by taking a look at this logfile, so that I can get rid of the pesky little Omegasearch bar :D Thank you! It's weird... how this Omegasearch thing is on a lot of computers.. and I thought I was the only computer that was having this thing! *shrugs* Oh well :) I'd be so so grateful if you could help take a look at this!     Ok, first of all, we normally recommend that people first run Ad-Aware and / or Spybot Search and Destroy on their computers to clean up any other problems. You can find these programs in the Security Downloads link in my signature. In your case, I can see a couple of other things things that we can clean up now, but I do suggest you run Ad Aware when we are done (it's easier than Spybot.)

    Please put the Hijack This program into a folder instead of running it straight from your desktop. Just make a folder called HJT and move it into there. The program makes backups of deleted items, and they will clutter up your desktop. In their own folder, they can be safely stored in an organized manner, in case you need to undo something later.

    Next, reboot into SAFE MODE. If you don't know how to do that, simply reboot your computer, then tap the F8 key until you get a boot options menu. Choose SAFE MODE, with no options.

    Run HJT, and FIX the following:

    Then, manually locate the files:

    C:\PROGRAM FILES\KEEPFR~1\FRAG START.dll (this will be a folder that starts with keepfr*.)

    C:\PROGRAM FILES\atomdata\Batgridenc.exe

    Make a new folder on your C drive called Quarantine, and move those files into there. Rename the .exe to .DDD and the .dll to .DDD to ensure they do not get accidentally run again.

    Then reboot normally. You should be free of Omegasearch. Post a fresh HJT log here for us to check, and we wil lalso give you some tips on a few other things you can remove to optimize your computer a little.
