Need to replace a Windows .dll file.

A while back I had a problem with my computer, and by using several programs recommended by some people here, it got fixed. But in the process of cleaning the viruses, it also cleaned out the C:\WINDOWS\image.dll file.

I get an annoying pop up message every time I start the computer.

I also have a complete Windows XP OS on my E: drive, but couldn't isolate or transfer the file. How can I fix it? I'm tired of this stupid pop-up window coming up all the time.

C:\WINDOWS\image.dll is associated with the Coolwebsearch hijack. You need to download CW Shredder from: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Follow the instructions on that page, run CW Shredder and see what it tells you. Then run Hijack This (download on the same page, or from our Security Downloads page here at SM, link in my sig) and post a log over on our Security SVT forum.
