Radeon LE refresh rate problem.
OK, I just upgraded the mobo and proc for my brother's old computer, formatted the hard drive and went back with a new install of Win2k w/SP4 and I can't get the vid card's monitor refresh rate to change from 60 hz and I'm stumped. Here is a breakdown of the software and hardware of the system:
MSI K7T Turbo2 with Tbred A 1700, Via 4-in-1 4.43 drivers
384 MB Crucial PC133 Cas2
Original old school Radeon LE 32 DDR, stock bios, running Cat 3.6's and latest control panel, d/l'ed yesterday
Win2K Pro SP4, with all revelant updates and IE6 installed
No games have been installed yet; just F@H and EMIII.
The refresh rate is stuck at 60 HZ. You can choose different settings and the drivers act like they are going to reset the refresh rate, yet the monitor still shows a 60 HZ refresh, even though display properties show whatever I've set. I've also tried setting different monitors in display properties; tried default monitor, plug and play monitor and also set it to what the monitor actually is, a Panasonic PF70.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.:)

Click on the monitor that is in use, untick "use DCC information" and set your own values. If DCC isnt in use, then set the true max anyway etc. Then hit apply and close the windows. Then reopen and select the correct refresh from the list
That should fix that, just be careful, don't push the refresh too high obviously or the monitor will bork on ya.
If that doesn't work, shout back Jim.
