Bandwith issues. Other 2 computers aren't affected, only mine.

This is really starting to frustrate me. I have 3 computers connected through the same router, same room, all within 5 feet of each other. First I tested my computer, 1500/133. I tested my mom's that's right next to mine, 3300/125. Then I tested my sister's 3300/150. I tried switching the plugs on the router with the ones they were using, I switched the cables and still nothing. If I go straight from my modem to my PC then I test at the full bandwith.

I was thinking it was the router until I tested both other PC's. I tried updating the firmware but the only update I could find (the company seemed to fold) refused to work. The router is a Speedstream SS2604. Tomorrow I'm going to try recycling everything, the modem, router etc. Other than that, any ideas out there? Thanks in advance.

Is your QoS packet scheduler installed under the general settings for your network card in start -> settings -> Network and Dialup?

    If so. BUHLETE IT!

I'm not seeing anything related to a QoS packet dealing with my nic. I might mention that the NIC is rather old, a good 5 years or more. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it?

Er, rather.. Right click on your network connection and hit properties.

That's a rather crucial detail I seem to have omitted.

Right, realized that after I posted. Deleted the QoS packet scheduler (uninstalled to be more specific) same result unfortunately 1399/167. Thanks though Thrax.
