Hey all, Recently I have been getting some problems, and am not sure what it can be. I have scanned with spybot and ad-aware, and I'm not finding anything. The specific problem is I have been getting popups called "web page dialog" and can't get rid of it for nothing. Overall I am just wondering if there is anything here i should be concerned about.

    Download, update and run CWShredder. Try running both in normal boot-up and in safe mode.

    Search bar = about:blank looks like CoolWebSearch.

    ok I tried the cwshredder updated and everything, but it comes up my system is clean. I tried in safe mode just to make sure and it still came up clean.

    For the most part, your system looks clean. What kind of pop-ups are you getting? Are they ads? Or something else?

    Anyway, a couple of things you might want to try. First, move HJT into it's own folder, so that the backups it makes have a safe place to reside.

    Second, click the link in m signature to go to our security downloads page, and download LSP FIX.

    Boot in SAFE MODE. Run HJT. Fix the following entries:

    Next, run the LSP Fix program you donwloaded earlier. If it lists the xfire_lsp.dll, or something similar, use this program to repair it.

    Reboot normally, check things out, and come back to let us know if the problem is solved. Post a fresh HJT log for us to review.

    My problem was I was getting ad popups/ads called "web page dialog" straight on my desktop without even searching the web. Btw how do you exactly know which entries were bad and so on? So that if I ever come across this problem again I would know what to do.
    The problem may have been resolved, I say this because the pop ups weren't frequent but when they came up they screwed up everything.
    So far so good I'll post again.
