I found this great little application while browsing for news stories earlier today. I must say, it's great. The program is called CutePDF Printer and it's by Acro Software, and as its name indicates, it acts as a printer subsystem to enable virtually any Windows application to create perfect PDF documents.

No popup adds, no watermarks, and it's free!

I've been doing this for a couple of years, basically you just need any laster printer driver to print to postscript and then write either a script or something to catch the file and then run ps2pdf (freely all over the place) and voila instant pdf :D. I was waiting for someone to finally do it.

Yeah, been a PITA for what should be a simple Windows thing. Linux has been able to do it several ways (LyX, OOo.org in recent versions, LyX frontends like Klyx). "CUTE (Acro uses CUTE in lots of their single-function software names)" Software has adapted quite a few things I found in Linux into neat Windows tools. WordPerfectOffice had\has(?) a virtual PDF printer output also.

CUTEFTP is also neat. As is VoyagerFTP(another publisher).
