Trojan Virus (Banker Worm) lsd_f3.dll Download.Trojan

Hi, I am infected with the trojan banker worm that is described according to sophos.com. I was told that symantec has yet to find a fix for this worm. Basically it infects my lsd_f3.dll file in my windows/system32 folder. When I run a norton scan on it, it shows up that I have the download.trojan virus. It cannot repair, quarantine, or delete this file. I have tried a full system scan in safe mode as well as disabling services. I have tried spyware removal programs and yet still no solution. Any help would be great. Here is a copy of my hijack this log.

I wish I could take credit for telling you about how to remove this but I'll just give you a link instead. ;) I googled the lsd_f3.dll file and came up with this thread at computercops dealing with the very same trojan you have. BTW, that trojan is a password stealer, so be sure to change all your passwords after you follow the steps they found out in that thread I linked to and get rid of the bugger.

EDIT: After you get rid of the trojan, post a new HJT log and we'll get rid of the crapware in your computer too. :)

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner; I had a minor emergency yesterday when a psu in my watercooled dually let go spectacularly. :bawling:

Since you say you've already run some spyware removal programs in your first post, we will go ahead and remove the following items with HJT. Boot up in safe mode with system restore turned off and remove the following:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about_:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about_:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = about_:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = about_:blank
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = C:\WINDOWS\system32\searchbar.html
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2E9CAFF6-30C7-4208-8807-E79D4EC6F806} - C:\Program Files\Submit\submithook.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0AAF602E-72A1-45FE-BAB1-06971E07EAA2} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {8E4C16F3-45C8-4B24-99E6-F55082B7C4F1} - (no file)

Also, after you have HJT delete these entries, manually go in and delete the C:\Program Files\Submit folder.

After doing this, let us know how your resilts. :)

ok that was my bum computer. I will delete all of those things in a second but I was wondering if I should be worried about anything from this hijack this log. I ran this one on my laptop which has been running pretty well. Just wanted to see if there was anything wrong with it also. Might as well check. thanks.
