How can i deal with this WU????

Just enough time to post a quick message before going on night-shift.

Problem WU. P549. Keeps stopping and starting. Taking forever to get onto the next time frame, then runs ok, back to slow again.

Any advise how to delete it and start again?
Hate deleting any of them as i process what gets given, but this is rediculous.

Can't reply till my shift is finished.

    If you need to kill a WU just go into your work directory and delete the contents while you client is closed.

    Yep, just delete the work directory after stopping the program as nec said. You'll get 0 credit for the work you did and the client will give a "MISSING_WORK_FILES" exception when it starts up the next time and then try and download a new WU.

    There's a newer core out, vers 1.65, if that would make you feel more comfortable too Mr. Dragon.

    Thanks for the replies guys. It looks like it went through with no more hiccups to be seen in the log.

    No idea why it should start playing up as i was asleep, not using the puter, when it happened.

    The odd part was that it stated "working". Working at what i don't know.

    Nearly 6 hours for a step. As i said, i'll take what they give me, but 6 hr steps i can well do without, lol. :rolleyes:

    Do you have Norton or some other Anti-Virus run at night possibly? Something to take up the CPU cycles?

    Marc, everything on the puter (laptop) is the same day and night. Same when i'm home or have it at the camp in the mine-site.

    Always make sure the only thing running is Folding. NO other things are open, like IE. Even my screensaver is a blank. Got it set up with a password as it runs 24/7 in camp. At home i stop the screensaver.

    Been trying to think of anything i may have done. Can't think of anything done different.

    EMIII said points "UNK". Think they ended up being 41 or something. It's not the points i'm worried about, in case people get the wrong idea, lol.
    It's the problem caused with the puter.

    Temperature in my room is very cool. A/C set at 18c, A/C fan blowing over my bed into the computer. Just in case it might get mentioned.
